1. In Your Dream for Me, Scarlett aspires to become a fashion designer, while Nathaniel dreams of becoming an actor. What did you want to be when you were younger? Is it similar to your current job, or would your younger self be surprised by your career choice?

2. Your Dream for Me has a focus on young love. Reflect on your first crush/crushes. Do you have any embarrassing first crush stories? Did you ever tell your crush you liked them, or did you keep your feelings a secret? Did the crush ever come to fruition?

3. Scarlett and Macie are best friends with unique personalities. Are your closest friends similar to you? What qualities do you have that overlap? What qualities do you have that are different?

4. Do you believe that young love can last? How do you think teenage relationships are different than adult relationships? What qualities did you look for when you were a teenager versus what you look for now?

5. Your Dream for Me is about the dreams we have for ourselves versus others' dreams for us. Do you feel like anyone or anything has ever held you back from following your dreams? What have you done to overcome those obstacles?

6. In the book, Scarlett has encouraging parents who support her aspirations. Who has always been your biggest chearleader throughout your life? How did they support you or encourage you?

 

 

7. Scarlett steps out of her comfort zone by signing up to shadow the spring play. Was there any hobby or activity that you tried in high school, college, or beyond that was out of your comfort zone? Did you end up enjoying it, or did you regret trying it?

 

 

8. Nathaniel prefers to live in the spotlight, while Scarlett prefers to be behind the scenes. Which type of person are you, and why? What do you think the benefits are? The drawbacks?

 

 

9. The book takes place when Nathaniel is a senior in high school and Scarlett is a junior. Did you have any unique high school traditions when you were in school? What is one of your favorite high school memories?

 

 

10. Nathaniel and Scarlett have a spark early on, but it isn’t until later chapters that they get to explore their relationship more. Do you catch feelings quickly, or are you more cautious when it comes to love? Do you feel like you can trust first impressions? Is there ever a time someone has proven you wrong?
